Gino Minardi was born and raised in the coastal town of Gela, Italy, which is located in the province of Caltanisetta. He came to America in 1957 and settled in Brooklyn, New York.
Much of his time was spent working in a local Italian bakery, which is where Gino met Angela. They settled in New Jersey where they opened their first Italian American bakery/pizzaria. The family moved to Galveston and opened a bakery/pizzeria in 1976.
With their children migrating to the Round Rock area, Gino and Angela ultimately made the move themselves. Round Rock seemed to be the best fit for their family and they opened Gino’s Italian Restaurant in May of 1993. Gino and his family has been proudly sharing their family recipes with the Round Rock community for over 20 years.
Now the tradition continues with our Cedar Park location, same great food, same great family!
